Reflections For april 27

When I was writing the article this week, it was Earth Day. I saw a post from a relative in Michigan with multiple pictures of beautiful plants coming alive. It is amazing how the colors and the life of the plants bring joy to us. Richard used that as an example of resurrection. He told us about a plant in the desert that can be dry but come back to life after 50 years. He, also, talked about a bean that was put in a small cup of dirt and it grew into a plant. God helps us grow. God helps us reach out to love our neighbors and care for others. The song before the message was “Christ Our Hope in Life and Death”. It helped us see how our life is more than just our time on earth. Paul helped us understand more about the resurrection in I Corinthians. Witness accounts confirm Jesus’ resurrection. Believing in the resurrection of Jesus is a core Christian belief. We have hope for life beyond death. God is there for us, and in Richard’s prayer, he said we grow closer to God every day. We have a lot of things going on in the church to help us learn, connect, and know that we have support. I think that showed through Sunday when we were singing one of the songs and people were getting into the beat, smiling, and having fun. Thank you everyone for reaching out and being part of God’s family! Reflections from Deborah Kelly. Share your reflections with deborah@rbcommunity.org and let me know your thoughts.
