Good Friday G. S. Kohler Cutting into the deepest wound The cross as doubled-edged scalpel Opens up the infected soul and pours In living water to wash away Infection's waste Cleansing is immediate Healing takes time The "good" of Friday is found In our polluted lesion exposed, flooded, Bared raw and angry and pained And ready for remedy, the fluid Hope of life Expectation is immediate Life takes time

Holy Saturday G. S. Kohler The silence was piercing As Evil's greatest weapon Separation Encircled and then sprang Upon the hearts of those who cared It took a day of waiting To overcome the silence Hesitation Avoiding all those who Also ran away, betrayed, denied Then Evil's greatest weakness, Loneliness was revealed And isolation Was rejected by those who, must do Something, together mixed spices With plans to meet and greet the coming day

Resurrection G. S. Kohler Through death Through ocean, wall, infinity We cannot imagine He turned back The soldier who returns to his job The college grad who returns to the slum The recovering who returns to take the next hand He leads us into next day, new day, new life He who now no longer knows no as an answer He turned back He turned back for us To join him We were more important than glory We were always more important than glory We cannot imagine He turned back and made imagine real Through Love Tangible faith, Touchable hope, Proven Love We cannot imagine
