Each month the Outreach Ministry sponsors two opportunities for our congregation and community members to participate in showing the love of Jesus to those in need within our local neighborhoods. These events would not be as successful as they are without your generous contributions. Contributions to Missions that underwrite the Outreach Ministry, contributions to Deacons who help by purchasing in-kind donations for the monthly drive thru events, and your personal donations of in-kind items such as food, school supplies, clothing, blankets, baby items, and household goods. Additionally, RB Community provides financial support to nine international missions and two international missionaries. The third Sunday of each month we hope to have one of our mission partners in worship and on the courtyard for you to learn more about the good work they are doing on our behalf around the globe.
APRIL OPPORTUNITIES TO SERVE
April 6-13 -
we are collecting cup-a-soup, cup-mac n cheese, and pop top cans of meals (like beefaroni) for the non-profits we support serving the homeless. Help us build a Top Ramen Cup-a-Soup Wall in the Narthex.
April 20 –
Drive thru event collecting infant and toddler disposable necessities: diapers (not NB), wipes, toiletry items, and formula.
Fervent Faith Ministries
in Escondido needs BIBLES. If you have some used ones still in good condition, please leave them in the white box in the Welcome Center.
Shout Out to our friends at Silvergate who pack 200 sack lunches for Interfaith clients each month. If your family or small group would like to pack sack lunches, please contact Elaine@rbcpc.org for specific information or to schedule a packing date. Over 100 people helped make our food packing event a huge success. We packed 45,144 meals and 22,000 of them will be distributed by Presbyterian churches in Baja with the rest being shipped by Kids Around the World to the Dominican Republic.
